Moonlight remains committed to creating value for the future through community engagement and bridging the divide between communities and industry. Moonlight donated uniforms and food items to Ponesai Vanhu Children’s home as part of Corporate Social Responsibility.

Ponesai Vanhu Children’s home is a charitable organization established by Development Aid from People to People (DAPP) in 1994 to respond to the growing number of orphans and vulnerable children in emergencies and with no other means of support. Moonlight noted the importance of meeting the social and emotional needs of these children.

Ponesai Vanhu is located in Shamva district, and currently accommodates forty-two children. Seven children are in ECD, twelve in primary school, fourteen in secondary school, five in tertiary education, and one under three years.

The devastating impact of Cyclone Idai resulted in the loss of lives and destruction of property in Chipinge, Chimanimani, and other parts of Manicaland, Mashonaland East, and Masvingo Provinces. Moonlight donated clothing, food, and other goods, handed over to Red Cross Harare for distribution to the victims.

Moonlight is at an advanced stage towards the opening of the Chiredzi branch. The official opening ceremony will be held at the branch, opposite Chiredzi General Hospital at 14 Lions Drive. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held on a date to be advised, followed by a tour of the new buildings by guests, local officials, Moonlight’s leadership, and all who will be in attendance.

The new branch is conveniently located for Chiredzi and surrounding communities to access all their funeral services with assistance from our team of knowledgeable experts. The event will be live-streamed to cater to our clients and stakeholders both locally and regionally.
